SUMMER FÊTE SPECIAL - 2008 |
||||
|
The
Summer Fête
this year was not blessed with the good weather of previous years, and the helpers
turned out in damp, windy conditions to get things under way. On arrival at
the Church they found that the main tent had fallen victim to the high winds
of the previous night, and was unsafe to be used. |

It
was very much a case of ‘all hands to the pump’, with some of the
stalls having to be re-located within the Church, making conditions far more
cramped than we would have wished, but we were determined that the Fête would go
ahead! In true ‘Cedars’ style, everyone made the best of it, and
a very successful day ensued. The
damp ground meant that The Mazazik
Troupe of Belly Dancers performed a shortened programme in the Church - which
is certainly a 'first' for Cedars, and probably any The
lack of space meant that it was not possible to take as many photographs as
last year, but here are a few I managed to capture. A
few hardy souls were in the gardens (protected by Gazeboes!) |

The Church says a
big 'Thank You' to all the Stallholders, Mediums, Healers, and Helpers, many
of which unfortunately can't be shown on this page, but without whose efforts
the fête could
not have taken place. The biggest thanks,
however, must go to all the visitors to our Fête, who braved the elements to
come along to give your support, and for your generosity. God Bless you all. |
